The CMIsc is a course of study which includes chamber music, composition and improvisation for string players of all ability levels and experience, ages 8 to 88
• quality literature: from Haydn to Pärt
• each 2 1/2 hour session includes small group coaching and rehearsal time for string trios, string quartets and string quintets
• each performer is challenged to improve technical & musical skills
• optional composition lessons available; bring your work with parts for your quartet group to rehearse with you; join our composers' forum; email for more details
• we do not proselytize ... no student is accepted for private instruction if already taking music lessons with another teacher
• new applicants must audition in person or via DVD or Skype
• preformed experienced groups may apply to study advanced literature without pressure of performance

2 weeks of Chamber Music: coached sessions on Mon/Thur or Tues/Fri or Wed/Sat in various locations & times:
applicants choose one of the following as well as performance on July 22:
Session 1 in Irvine = Monday & Thursday afternoons at 1:00-3:30 pm on July 9, 12, 16, 19
Session 2 in
Cerritos = Monday & Thursday evenings at 7:00-9:30 pm on July 9, 12, 16, 19
Session 3 in Fullerton = Tuesday & Friday afternoons at 1:00-3:30 pm on July 10, 13, 17, 20
Session 4 in Cerritos = Tuesday & Friday evenings at 7:00-9:30 pm on July 10, 13, 17, 20
Session 5 in Cerritos = Wednesday & Saturday evenings at 7:00-9:30 pm on July 11, 14, 18, 21
